I can’t believe how behind I am on my blog!  Here are a few from my second session with Ella.  She is getting so big and I can’t believe how much her little personality is developing.  I LOVE the ones with her in her halloween costume!

Brittany and Sam had a beautiful wedding!  They are an awesome couple who met at East Central University in Ada.  Their love for each other shows so much – you can just see it in the way they look at each other!

We had to brave the effects of the Blizzard of 2009 for their engagement session, but despite the conditions, had a great time!  Kristy and Jeff are such a great couple and their love for each other is evident in the images from the day.  Thanks Jeff for being such a good sport!  I can’t wait for their March wedding!

Giving is Awesome winner!

A big thank you to all who nominated families for my Giving is Awesome contest!  I had so many wonderful stories submitted and it was extremely difficult to select one.  After narrowing it down, I asked several family members and close friends to vote for the family they thought should receive the family session and $500 in portraits.  I cannot tell you how excited I was to make that call on Christmas Eve!  After the holidays, we are going to set up a time for this very special session.  I absolutely cannot wait!!!  Stay tuned for a sneak peek!

Giving is Awesome

with 2 comments

I’m so excited to be taking part in a worldwide photographic effort, Giving is Awesome, to provide a deserving family with cherished heirlooms this holiday season!

You know someone.  You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising children while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances.  You know someone who can’t affort custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season.  You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love and beauty.

You know someone.  I just know it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $500 worth to be exact.  Whether it’s canvas, an album or prints to share with grandparents, it’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.  To make this even better, Bella Salon and Merle Norman of Ada, have graciously offered to donate their services for this.  The winning family will have their hair and make-up done, before their photography session!

Ready for an added bonus?  The person who nominates the winner receives a $100 print credit for themselves!

The rules:

  • You cannot nomiate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services.

  • The nominee must reside within 50 miles of Ada, Oklahoma

  • Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork.  Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself.

  • You must e-mail me the full story with the nominee’s contact information: lareflections@yahoo.com, no later than December 21, 2009.

The winner will be called on Christmas Eve – get to nominating!  I can’t wait to read all of your entries!

If you would like more information on this worldwide photographic effort to give back, visit:  www.givingisawesome.com

Open your heart to someone this holiday season – and thanks for giving me the opportunity open mine!

Piper is here!

Our little Piper arrived in late August and what a little blessing she is!  I feel bad that I am just now putting her on the blog (it is already time for her 3 month session!), but better late than not at all.

Big brother is so proud of his little sister!

I can’t believe how far behind I am on blogging!  I envy those who are disciplined enough to do this daily…maybe someday!  At least 2-3 times per week – that’s my new goal!

Here are a few from Lauren and Levi’s wedding.   Lauren was such a beautiful bride and they make the best couple!  Wishing you many happy years together!

Here are a few of the images I took, back in the spring, while shooting a wedding with a couple of great Tulsa photographers.  Lisa and Sophia of LSD Photography are awesome and I had such a great time with them – thanks ladies!  The day was amazing!  Beautiful setting at The Golf Club of Oklahoma and a great looking couple who are very much in love!  Their guests had a great time partying with the bride and groom late into the night.
