Wedding Photography Give Away! {Ada, Ok Wedding Photographer}

leave a comment »

Is it me, or are there a lot of couples tying the knot this year?  I have had so many client inquiries for wedding photography, that I decided to have a give away!  That’s right, one lucky couple will receive complimentary wedding day photography coverage!  All you have to do to enter is send the names, emails and phone numbers of the bride and groom, along with the wedding date and location of the wedding and reception venues to lareflections@yahoo.com.  The winning couple will be selected, at random, on Valentine’s Day.  So, if you or someone you know is getting married in 2011, get them entered before February 14th.  Good luck!

Madison and Cory’s Wedding {Ada, Ok Wedding Photographer}

The 2011 wedding season is fast approaching, so I thought it would be a good time to share a few favorites from some of the weddings I photographed last year.  As I was compiling various images to post, I realized how behind I was on blogging.  So, instead of this being a “favorites” blog, I’m going to do what I should have done a while back – blog about Madison and Cory’s wedding!

I have known Madison and her family for many years and have watched her grow into a beautiful young woman.  She and Cory live in Los Angeles, where they both work in the fashion industry.  They are such an amazing couple and I loved being able to document their day.

The 2011 Senior season is off to a very busy start!   We had a great time going to several different locations in and around Ada.   I’m so glad I had the opportunity to hang out with them and loved the challenge of capturing their personalities.  Here are a few from some of my first senior sessions this year.

What a perfect day it was for Kristy and Jeff’s wedding!  The day started at NV Salon, where Kristy had her hair and make-up done.  All the ladies seemed to have so much fun being pampered and they all looked great!  The wedding took place at Ada Arts and Heritage and Ada Greenhouse had it beautifully decorated with flowers.  Shana did a great job, as usual!   After the wedding, everyone made their way to Fossil Creek for the reception.  Thank you both for letting me share in the fun and I hope you had a great time in Hawaii!

Gotta Love Oklahoma Winters!

Oklahoma is known for its crazy weather.  I have often heard people say, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait until tomorrow.”  There couldn’t be a statement more true.  Where else can you have temperatures in the 50′s one day, and blizzard like weather the next?  Although, in Ada, there wasn’t much sunshine yesterday, parts of Oklahoma actually saw a strange orange glow in the sky.  I like snow as much as the next person, but I have really had enough for this winter and I need some sunshine!  Here are a few images of what I woke up to, this morning.  Beautiful, yes, but I’m hoping this will be it for this winter!

with this ring – Melanie and Patrick {Wedding photographer Ada, Ok}

Funny story on how Melanie and Patrick got together.  They met at work and he said something to her that caught her a little off guard.  They went on their first date and the rest is history, as they say!  This January wedding was my first of several for 2010 and luckily the weather cooperated.  It was still a little wet from winter weather the few days before, but at least there was no precipitation that day.  After their honeymoon in New York, they are back home starting their life together.  Thanks for letting me capture your special day!

These wedding rings, tied to the bouquet, belonged to Melanie’s grandmother.

Beautiful Bridal Session With Madison {Wedding and bridal photographer Ada, Ok}

We did this session the same day Madison flew in from Los Angeles.  She literally had only a few minutes to make herself beautiful.  That she did and was a natural in front of the camera!  You totally rocked, Madison!

Piper’s First Christmas! {Children’s photographer Ada, Ok}

I wanted to surprise Piper’s mommy and daddy, so I took advantage of the fact that I was getting to watch her for a couple of hours for them.  At four months, she is smiling, giggling and starting to really “talk” to me!  Love her in the Christmas tutu and hats!

Sarah and Micah’s big day! {Wedding photographer Ada, Ok}

I have known Sarah since she was very young.  Now, she is all grown up and married.  Wow!  It seems like not that long ago she was a student at Willard – time sure flies!  We started with Sarah getting her hair done at Renaissance Salon and then went to Trinity Baptist Church so she could start getting ready.  I had so much fun capturing her special day!  She and Micah make such a great couple and seem to be very much in love!  Thanks for letting me be a part of your very special wedding day!

Loved her bouquet!  Ada Greenhouse always does such a great job!
